You’re Welcome to Take Photos
Absolutely!
We are delighted for guests to take photos during their visit.
Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, or simply enjoying your trip to Kyoto, we hope you’ll capture the memories of your dining experience.
Each dish in our seasonal kaiseki course reflects the beauty of Japan’s seasons, traditional craftsmanship, and the chef’s philosophy.
We hope you’ll enjoy photographing not only the food, but also the beautiful tableware and the atmosphere of our traditional Kyoto machiya townhouse.
If you enjoy your experience, we would be grateful if you shared your photos on social media as part of your Kyoto memories.
Seeing your photos and reading your experiences brings great joy to our team.
If you post on Instagram, we’d be honored if you could tag @kyoto_masuda or use #MasumasuMasuda.
We’d Be Happy to Take Your Photo
If you would like a group photo, please don’t hesitate to ask.
The chef or our hostess will be happy to take photos using your smartphone or camera, so everyone can be included in the memory.
Helping create unforgettable moments for our guests is one of the greatest pleasures of our work.
A Special Photo Spot with a 300\-Year\-Old Cedar Bench
Our chef was born in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, home to the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, Nikko Toshogu Shrine.
Inside our restaurant, you’ll find a bench made from a 300-year-old Nikko cedar tree.
Many guests enjoy taking commemorative photos on this unique bench after their meal, making it a special memory that connects the traditions of Kyoto and Nikko.
A Few Requests During Photography
To ensure everyone enjoys a comfortable dining experience, we kindly ask that you respect the following while taking photos:
●Please avoid photographing other guests without their permission.
●Please refrain from long photo sessions or live streaming during service.
●Please do not approach the chef too closely while food is being prepared.
●Please avoid any photography that may disturb other guests.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Capture Your Kyoto Memories
A wonderful meal is about more than delicious food.
It is about the memories you create, the people you meet, and the moments you share.
At Masumasu Masuda, we hope your photographs will remind you of your time in Kyoto long after your journey has ended.
We look forward to welcoming you and becoming part of your unforgettable Kyoto experience.
